The next Site Builder system update is scheduled for this weekend
9/23/2006.
This update includes many ecommerce enhancements as well as
many other minor fixes and updates.
Ecommerce
Updates
-------------------------------------------------------------
ECOMMERCE
REPORTS:
Several new reports and features have been added. Customers can
now select the date range for e commerce report displays (day, week, month, year
and custom ranges). Bar graphs and pie charts have been added to many
reports.
New sales reports:
- Sales by product
- Sales by
product count
- Sales by customer
- Sales by payment type (ex Visa,
Mastercard, PayPal...)
Visitor activity reports:
- Cart
analysis
- Search queries
- Search keywords
Inventory report:
The low inventory report displays a list of products that are either out of
stock, below the inventory alert level, or close to the alert
level.
Search queries report: This report will display a list of searches
that were made through the site search feature. The search queries report will
NOT show customers searches that were made before this update was installed.
Cart analysis: The cart analysis report displays a count of the number
of shopping carts created, the number of abandoned carts and the conversion
ratio: number of completed orders/total carts. This gives the store owner an
indication the percentage of shopping carts that are converted into sales. The
report only includes carts that were abandoned and carts for completed orders.
Any orders that are in the order manager (new, in progress, backordered,
canceled) are NOT included in this report. Shopping carts are only kept on the
system for several months. After several months they may be removed, so the
cart report will only show data for the past few months.
MULTI-ORDER
COMPLETE
Customers can now select multiple orders on the order management
pages and then click the "Complete Orders" button at the bottom of the page to
automatically attempt to complete the selected orders. A results page is
displayed showing which orders were successful and which failed.
PRODUCT
EDITOR (advanced settings)
Meta Keywords, Meta Description and Product Cost
can now be set on the advanced settings for a product. All three fields can be
setup either using the product editor or a product import file. The
keywords/description are displayed on the product detail page in the meta tags
of the HTML page head section. The product cost will be used in a future e
commerce reporting enhancement.
MISC ECOMMERCE UPDATES
Order Export:
customer id and shipment tracking information have been added to the order
export.
Shipping estimator results have been relocated under the shopping
cart and now have a box around the results.
Table based shipping setup
display has been modified to make it easier to understand how to setup the
shipping table. A test feature has been added so you can try to test different
values while setting up the shipping table.
Customer order details: added
a link to go directly from the customer order history to the order
management/processing screen.
EWay payment (austrialian) gateway has been
added.
Added option for store owners to included insurance calculations
in shipping estimates.
Added option for store owners to select to use
either residential or commercial shipping estimates.
User
Accounts
-------------------------------------------------------------
A
new user group has been added called "All users". This group will display all
users accounts, even if the account has not been assigned to a user group. A
search box has been added to the user group display page to make it easier to
find user accounts.
Misc
Fixes/Updates

Text
Editor 2.0: Several fixes have been added to the 2.0 text editor. These include
fixes with setting up links, setting up anchors and checking to make sure
customers don't have popup windows disabled when selecting the editor. Some of
the right click menu features will not work properly when popup windows are
disabled. The table editor has been enhanced to allow users to select the
table background and border colors.
Password protected pages: Fixed an
issue that could cause an error when copying a password protected
page.
Deleted pages/components: Added information that will make it
easier for us to restore pages/components that have been inadvertently deleted
by customers. We may eventually make this functionality available to customers
so that they could restore either a page or component that was accidentally
deleted.
Advanced color selection: The user interface on this screen has
been slightly reworked to allow for future enhancements that will give customers
more control over the color mappings on their site.
User accounts page:
Changed the update billing information link to only display if the customer
account has a credit card on it.
Tutorials: Many new tutorials have been
added to the tutorials section of the help system.
